Dr. Ernest Hajcsar was raised in Burlington. Earned HBSc Chemistry, PhD in Materials Science and Engineering graduated from McMaster University B.Ed. from University of Toronto and MD from Queen’s. Four years of medical school included extra training in plastic surgery where he developed a love for hands-on treatments especially surgery on the skin.
He entered the Family Medicine program at Sunnybrook/Women’s college where he worked in the burn unit and did more plastic surgery training in addition to regular family medicine. He later transferred to McMaster University to complete family medicine and had further training in dermatology and a specially designed program of procedures in Plastic surgery.
After completing Residency, Dr. Hajcsar spent 6 months working as a surgical assistant in many different surgical situations with many different surgical disciplines.
After beginning practice in 2001, Dr Hajcsar began a “lumps and bumps” small surgery clinic. Through multiple small cosmetic procedures he developed a deeper interest in the science of modern non-surgical skin treatments and has undergone extensive formal training and self-learning to be able to offer a wide array of treatments here in our office. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine, both the Canadian and American Associations of Aesthetic Medicine. Also earning a Focused Practice Designation in Dermatology in 2012. He has attended numerous courses and international conferences in Aesthetic and Anti-Aging medicine. He opened aesthetica MD in May 2007. He has achieved “preferred injector” status for Botox and Fillers because of his experience. Most recently in 2014 completing a Post Graduate Certification course in cosmetic Blepharoplasty and facial surgery – face lift, brow lift, autologuos fat transfer.
