Laser Toenail Fungus Treatment

Nail Fungus – onychmycosis (on-ih-koh-my-KOH-sis) is a fungal infection that lives underneath the nail, in the nail bed. As it progresses, the nails become brittle, crumbly, distorted and thickened. This can cause pain, difficulty wearing certain shoes and leads to infection of the other toes or fingers. As the fungal infection goes deeper, nail fungus may cause your nail to discolour, thicken and crumble at the edge. It can also affect several nails. If your nail has become painful and has developed thickened nails, self-care steps and medications may help. But even if treatment is successful, nail fungus may recur.
